RP-C resistive pressure sensitive sensor is a flexible thin film sensor whose resistance value decreases with the increase of pressure acting on the sensing area. A single induction zone sensor is equivalent to a dual port variable resistor with a resistance value controlled by pressure, or a switch with a certain threshold, which is determined by the combination of pressure and device parameter settings. The RP-C flexible film pressure sensor is composed of polyester film with excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, high conductivity materials, and nanoscale pressure sensitive materials. The top layer is a flexible film and a composite pressure sensitive layer on top, while the bottom layer is a flexible film and a composite conductive circuit on top. Both are bonded with double-sided adhesive and isolated from the sensing area. When the sensing area is under pressure, the lines that are disconnected from each other at the bottom layer will conduct through the top layer of the pressure sensitive layer, and the resistance output value of the port will change with the pressure.
